AbeBooks Haul | April 2016

Before I start showing you guys the books I bought from AbeBooks, I need to share a little something. I’m on Bloglovin now! I wouldn’t announce it like this (it’s really not that big of a deal), but to verify my blog I need to share this silly little link. So whatever, here we go. Follow my blog with Bloglovin.

I bought a ridiculous amount of books (at least for my standards) this month: 23 in total. I already did two separate April hauls, one from a charity fair thing and one from Bookdepository. This is my final haul, which consists of 10 books I got from AbeBooks.

What a strange title for a blog post, right? Well, I recently had a look at my bookshelves, and I realised that something was bothering me. I couldn’t quite figure out what it was, until I looked at my TBR pile.

Now, you should know that the books I have read are arranged on my shelves vertically – you know, the typical way. But on my TBR shelf, the books lie on top of each other. This wouldn’t be important, if it hadn’t helped me understand what was bothering me about my shelves: GERMAN SPINES ARE UPSIDE DOWN.

Book review: The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss (The Kingkiller Chronicles #2)

Rating: ★★★★★

I did it, guys. I finished it. All 994 pages, in just 8 days! Saying I’m proud of myself would be an understatement. AND I LOVED THIS SO MUCH.

Now, let’s start at the beginning. This is a high fantasy novel, and it’s the second book in the Kingkiller trilogy, the first being The Name of the Wind. These books follow Kvothe, the most talented and most likable guy I have ever had the pleasure to read about. Kvothe lives in a town in the middle of nowhere and has his own little inn. Everything is rather normal and peaceful, until Chronicler shows up – a historian who knows who Kvothe really is, and who wants to write down his story. So Kvothe starts telling it, and IT’S EPIC.

Bookdepository Haul | April 2016

I’ve decided to split the books I bought this month into three separate hauls. The main reason for that is that it’s too much otherwise. I bought a total of 23 books in the month of April. I don’t even know how.

I’ve already posted my first haul over here. It’s a total of six books, which I bought at a charity fair kind of thing. This haul, on the other hand, is another six books, all from the online book buying site Bookdepository.
